PENYULUHAN DAN PELATIHAN KOSAKATA BAHASA INGGRIS TENTANG CUCI TANGAN ENAM LANGKAH SEBAGAI UPAYA PENINGKATAN PERILAKU HIDUP BERSIH DAN SEHAT DI PAUD ALIEF PALEMBANG

This community service activity aimed to improve young children's understanding of clean and healthy living behaviors through the practice of the six-step handwashing method while introducing English vocabulary related to the activity. The activity was conducted at PAUD Alief Palembang and involved 25 students as participants. The method used in this activity consisted of counseling and training carried out through several stages, namely preparation, problem identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The materials delivered included the importance of maintaining hand hygiene, the practice of the six-step handwashing procedure based on health standards, and the introduction of English vocabulary related to handwashing activities. The results showed an increase in students’ understanding after participating in the activity. Before the implementation, only 32% of students were able to mention English vocabulary related to handwashing and 28% were able to practice the six steps of handwashing correctly. After the activity, the percentages increased to 84% for English vocabulary mastery and 88% for the ability to practice the handwashing steps correctly. These results indicate that counseling and training methods using an interactive approach are effective in improving students’ understanding of clean and healthy living behavior as well as introducing English vocabulary to early childhood learners.

PENGEMBANGAN USAHA KEMPLANG BAGI PETANI RAWA LEBAK DI DESA SIMPANG PELABUHAN DALAM KECAMATAN PEMULUTAN KABUPATEN OGAN ILIR

Swamp farmers in Simpang Pelabuhan Village, Pemulutan District, Ogan Ilir Regency, have economic potential through processing fish into kemplang. However, their kemplang business still faces various obstacles, such as limited production technology, simple business management, inconsistent product quality, and limited marketing reach. This community service activity aims to develop the kemplang business of swamp farmers by increasing production capacity, business management, and marketing. The methods used include training in hygienic and high-quality kemplang processing, mentoring in business management and simple financial records, providing production equipment, and strengthening marketing strategies. The results of the activity show an increase in partners' skills in the kemplang production process, improvements in product quality and quantity, and an increase in partners' understanding of sustainable business management. Thus, this activity contributes to increasing the income and welfare of swamp farmers through the development of a kemplang business based on local potential.

PENYULUHAN HUKUM DAN SOSIALISASI PEMBERDAYAAN MASYAKARAT DI DESA PINOMONTIGA KECAMATAN BULAWA

The Legal Counseling and Community Empowerment Socialization Program in Pinomontiga Village, Bulawa District, was part of a student internship program conducted by students of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Gorontalo, from September 22 to November 5, 2025 at the Activity Management Unit (UPK) of the former PNPM Mandiri Perdesaan. This program aimed to enhance community understanding of legal issues, particularly the new Criminal Code (KUHP), and to provide information on access to free legal aid for underprivileged communities. This study employed a qualitative descriptive method with a participatory approach through direct observation, active involvement, and the implementation of legal counseling activities. The results indicate that the legal counseling program effectively increased community legal awareness, improved understanding of legal rights, and encouraged community empowerment in addressing legal issues independently. In addition, the program was supported by other internship activities, such as improving UPK office facilities and conducting community service activities, which contributed to community development. However, the implementation faced several challenges, including limited time, budget constraints, and insufficient internal coordination. Therefore, it is recommended that future programs be supported by better planning, adequate funding, and improved coordination among stakeholders. Furthermore, continuous and periodic legal counseling programs are necessary to ensure sustainable community empowerment outcomes.

PENGUATAN KAPASITAS UMKM MELALUI PENDAMPINGAN BERBASIS PLUT-KUMKM DI KABUPATEN GORONTALO

PLUT-KUMKM plays a strategic role in strengthening the capacity and empowering MSMEs through business mentoring, business consulting, legal facilitation, and marketing network development. Community service through a student internship program at PLUT-KUMKM Gorontalo Regency is a collaboration between universities and the local government to increase the capacity of MSMEs while providing practical experience for students. This activity aims to support business strengthening through administrative assistance, legal facilitation, and product promotion and marketing. The method used is a participatory approach by directly involving students in services and mentoring. Data was collected through observation, direct involvement, business administration management, and documentation. The results of the activity show a real contribution, namely mentoring approximately 25 MSMEs, facilitating NIB and halal certification for approximately 15 MSMEs, as well as support for entrepreneurship training, marketing, and MSME talk shows. This collaboration has had a positive impact and needs to be strengthened continuously.

SOSIALISASI DAN PENDAMPINGAN KARANG TARUNA DESA DALAM MENDUKUNG PENGEMBANGAN DESA OLAHRAGA DIDESA SUNGAI REBO KECAMATAN BANYUASIN I

Desa Sungai Rebo, Kecamatan Banyuasin I, Kabupaten Banyuasin, memiliki potensi besar dalam pengembangan olahraga berbasis masyarakat. Hal ini terlihat dari tingginya partisipasi pemuda dalam kegiatan sepak bola dan bola voli. Namun, potensi tersebut belum didukung oleh kelembagaan olahraga yang terstruktur serta perencanaan program yang berkelanjutan. Selain itu, rendahnya pemahaman pemuda terhadap konsep Sport Development Index (SDI) menjadi kendala dalam merumuskan pembangunan olahraga desa yang terarah.Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan kapasitas Karang Taruna dalam mengelola pengembangan Desa Olahraga berbasis Sport Development Index (SDI). Metode yang digunakan adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR) dengan melibatkan masyarakat sebagai subjek aktif dalam setiap tahapan kegiatan. Tahapan kegiatan meliputi koordinasi awal dengan pemerintah desa, identifikasi potensi dan permasalahan olahraga desa, sosialisasi konsep SDI, pelatihan manajemen organisasi dan penyelenggaraan event olahraga, serta pendampingan pembentukan kelembagaan olahraga desa.Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman anggota Karang Taruna terhadap konsep Desa Olahraga dan SDI dari 35% menjadi 82% berdasarkan hasil pre-test dan post-test. Selain itu, sebanyak 75% peserta pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan dalam menyusun program kegiatan olahraga desa. Kegiatan ini juga menghasilkan pembentukan satu klub olahraga desa yang dikelola oleh Karang Taruna serta tersusunnya rencana program olahraga tahunan desa. Keterlibatan aktif pemuda dan dukungan pemerintah desa menunjukkan komitmen bersama dalam mengembangkan olahraga secara terstruktur dan berkelanjutan.
